Abstract

The promotion of digital competence in the context of studies is becoming increasingly important. In order to strengthen technology-supported and digital teaching and to promote the development of digital competence among students, the Virtual Campus (VC) e-learning platform was developed at Katholische Hochschule für Sozialwesen Berlin – Catholic University of Applied Sciences (KHSB). The results of the study show that students evaluate new functions in the VC positively. Evaluation of VC features is positively related to knowledge about the features. The use of the VC improved significantly digital communication, collaboration, and digital content creation (DigCom2.2) among students.
