Die Universitätsbibliothek Basel bietet seit vielen Jahren Lehrveranstaltungen in Informationskompetenz an. Aktuell werden diese Kurse inhaltlich, konzeptionell und methodisch erweitert und neugestaltet. Die praxisbezogene Einführung des Frameworks for Information Literacy for Higher Education, verabschiedet von der Association of College and Research Libraries, spielt dabei unter anderem eine bedeutende Rolle.
